YOU HAVE TO LET THE PAST GO, SO YOU CAN GROW

The good is the enemy of the better. Stop saying the good old days, let them go so you can grow.

You’ve succeeded in the past, I mean excellent success, renowned achievement and mesmerizing upliftment, yet let that success inspire you to grow and become better and greater.

On the other hand, you might have had downgrading failures in the past, I mean embarrassing downfalls; don’t let it hinder you from achieving a greater and better success tomorrow.

Practically speaking, most of the successful people I know got successful after many failures. It is better to try and fail, than stay in your comfort zone, do nothing and be living in a fool’s paradise. Risk takers are high achievers.

You’ve spent enough time in self-pity, cries of woes and self-doubt because of your past failures. Get up on your feet and scream IT IS NOT OVER UNTIL I WIN.

Les Brown said, if life knocks you down, try to land on your back, because if you can look up, you can get up, and if you can get up, you can succeed. Let your reasons (why you must succeed) get you up!

Perhaps you say, you don’t understand, divorce is not that easy to get out of. God said He hates divorce because of what divorce does to His creatures. It shatters their confidence and leaves them with a feeling of emptiness, but I beg you to stop wallowing in self-pity, get up on your feet and say I am going to get through to the end of this tunnel called divorce and make it in life and marriage.

Immediate re-marriage or relationship is not the answer to your past failed relationship. Be patient, be alone first to get to know and understand your personality and what you really want in a relationship before venturing into meeting another person.

Maybe your husband has committed marital infidelity and you vowed never to forgive him and forget the incidence. You plan to divorce him, leave him and go away. But you know what, you are taking a wrong decision; let the past go, so you can grow.

If you just walk away, the memory of the good times you had together will linger, and you know what, you just execute the final phase of the plan of that whore/prostitute who had strategise that you leave him, so he can be all hers. She will enjoy, what both of you had taken years to build and gather together.

You know what you will do? Disappoint that home-breaker/husband snatcher, FORGIVE your husband, FORGET (though difficult) the past and guide your home against wolves. Women are the home-keepers; a wise woman builds her home, but a foolish woman tears it down with her hands (Bible).

Friends, I can continue to multiply instances why holding back to the past impedes our current joy and happiness! Common, let go of the past, so you can grow!

When you expect disappointment, you won't be shattered or battered when you are disappointed. God is the only one who never disappoint. I have disappointed myself before (that is fall short of a set standard or goal). Also, I have disappointed people. Today I make up my mind not to get disappointed by what anybody do or do not do. *** The anointing of the Holy Spirit in my life cannot be substituted or let go for any offence, so I give away and forgive all offence. If you've ever offended me, I forgive you, please do the same if I had. **** Forgiveness makes living on earth pleasurable and gives the hope of heaven. "For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." (Matthew 6:14-15). Forgiveness also brings answers to prayers. You better stop praying to God through Jesus Christ if you have made up your mind, never to forgive someone. You know why? Why? Because your prayer is a sheer waste of time. You are making a prayer that God will never answer. "And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. " (Mark 11:25).
